Finding us

We are right on the A828 at Kentallen, about 4 miles south of the Ballachulish bridge, on the shore of Loch Linnhe. From the north, cross the bridge and follow the coast road. From the south, the A828 brings you up from Oban through Appin, past Castle Stalker. Parking at the hotel is free, and if your satnav gives up, what3words has us at ///taped.dragonfly.fencing.

Without a car

The 918 Oban to Fort William bus (West Coast Motors) stops right outside the hotel, in both directions. For taxis, it depends which way you are headed: North Star Taxis (07507 501533) are based in Fort William, so they are the ones for that direction and for airport transfers; Glencoe Taxis in Ballachulish are closest to us, on 01855 811764; and if you are coming up from Oban, Oban Taxis are the better shout, on 01631 564666.

Times worth knowing

Lunch runs from 12 till 4 in the Captain's Bar, and dinner from 5.30 till 8.30 in the bar and restaurant. Times flex with the seasons, so give us a ring first if you are making a special trip. The swimming pool is open 9am to 10pm daily. Arriving by water? See sailing to the Holly Tree.
