The sunsets at the Holly Tree really have to be seen to be believed, but you can explore our gallery for a preview.
The hotel faces westward over Loch Linnhe, so is in the perfect position to watch the setting sun drop between the Morvern Mountains. The combination of open water and distant mountains allows the sun to dip low and cast vibrant, fiery hues of oranges, reds and pinks across the sky and the surface of the loch.
In the Scottish Highlands, the sky often features a mix of clear patches and scattered clouds, especially around dusk. This, combined with a lack of light pollution, means that as the sun dips toward Loch Linnhe, its rays hit these clouds at sharp angles, scattering light in a way that intensifies colours, turning the sky into a glowing, dramatic canvas.
